Most of the time, cybercriminals find a weakness in a system and exploit it, and then it gets patched by, for example, Samsung. By not updating your device, you are missing out on a more secure system. Which can have a negative impact, on basically your entire life. Because society nowadays uses technology for everything. We use our devices for basically everything these days, we order food, do taxes, banking, order presents online, turn on the lights, protect our homes with cameras, some countries even have a digital ID card, etc.
