I have always loved computers and am fascinated about how they work. At the age of 11, I did my presentation about computers. That’s the moment when I decided to dive deeper into how computers work. Since then I have been able to troubleshoot most issues by myself.
Customs android roms
I didnt really like the fact that my phone would never get android kitkat, so after a while I started to experiment a bit with installing custom roms on android. I have bricked my first smartphones quite often but was always able to fix it.
Introduced to different operating systems
At the age of 14 I got introduced to Ubuntu,Linux and Arduino by my IT teacher. Linux commands looked cool to me, because it was radiating the vibe of a hacker.I didnt really understand why you would pick Linux over Windows back then. Since a couple years I finally do
Installing different operating systems
There was no thought process behind this. But 1 time I was like”Lets install Ubuntu” after a while I was like “Android is on my phone which has way less memory and processing power than my PC” So I removed Ubuntu and installed Android on my own PC. The built-in webbrowser kept freezing, so eventually I switched back to Windows.
Raspberry Pi Image Viewer
Years later, I finally bought my first Raspberry. I looked up how to install the OS and stumbled upon Raspberry Pi Image Viewer. The program consists of a wide-range of fun operating systems. So I might have installed almost all of them at least once. Its very convient that you can easily change the OS and dont have to worry about your personal data. You dont have to keep in mind that you have personal pictures on your pc because you’re playing with your mini pc
SSH port 22
I was and still am quite new to Linux. So after reading some articles about how to install certain programs, I read something about SSH. At first I was like “That’s so cool” after using SSH for a couple days, I started to notice the pros. The biggest pro in my opinion is, the abbility to change settings and install programs without having to turn on the screen I use for my Raspberry Pi.
Kali Linux
I was watching a IT youtuber called NetworkChuck. He makes videos about IT and after watching his video about Kali Linux, I was like”This is so cool, I can learn to hack on my Raspberry Pi?!” So I after installing Kali Linux, I opened a program and tried some stuff but quickly noticed my lack in experience with the Linux operating system. Windows OS has made me a bit lazy I guess. Everything is so easy to install and find. But in Linux and especially in Kali Linux, you have to really know what you are doing. That’s why I wanna get the Comptia Certification Linux+.
